NURTURING CREATIVITY FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Creativity flows better when you feel good
We’re taught it’s a mind thing, but creativity starts in the body. Support your health, and you support your creativity.
FEEL GOOD

MAKE GOOD STUFF

FEEL GOOD * MAKE GOOD STUFF *
Too often, we ignore our body’s cues.
Because culture pushes us to…
Focus on our output.
Distract ourselves with busy schedules.
Manage endless obligations.
Buy all the things.
Eat all the things.
Stay glued to the news.
And then we wonder why we feel bad!
Why do we have these symptoms?
Where do we even begin to feel better?
Can things actually be different?
Enter Ayurveda:
a simple, time-tested way to start listening to your body again.
It helps you get to the root of what’s going on — and to feel better through small, steady shifts.
You start to feel grounded, energized, and clear, so you can get back to living (and creating) with more ease. Really.
This is for you if…
... you’re running on empty and aren’t sure where to start
... you feel depleted, tired or low energy, even after a full night’s sleep
... you’re dealing with health concerns like digestion issues, bloating or skin flare-ups... you’re going through a life-stage transition like peri-menopause or menopause
... you’re doing “all the right things”, but something still isn’t clicking
... you sense there may be a more supportive way to work with your body
Ayurveda supports feeling better through grounded, personal, and sustainable practices — not quick fixes or rigid rules. You don’t need a diagnosis to begin…
Why Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is an ancient system of health that’s all about balance. It sees you as a whole person — body, mind, and spirit — and helps you live in a way that supports your natural rhythms.
Through nutrition, daily habits, self-care practices and herbal support, Ayurveda helps you digest well, sleep better, and feel more like yourself. It’s practical, personalized, and meant to make living well not only simpler, but easier.
Diet (Ahara)
Your body has wisdom. Let’s tune into that together. This isn’t about giving up everything you love or eating some mysterious “Ayurvedic diet.”
It is about noticing how food affects you. The same meal can be grounding for one person and completely destabilizing for another.
We look at digestion, energy, mood, and timing — then make small, realistic adjustments so food supports you instead of working against you.
Chocolate is not banned. Coffee is not confiscated.
But your body does get a vote.
Daily Rhythm (Vihara)
You can eat all the foods that support you and still feel terrible if your days are chaotic and your nervous system never gets a break.
Vihāra looks at how you move through your day — sleep, work, rest, movement, and downtime — and how those rhythms affect how you feel.
Often, the most powerful shifts aren’t dramatic changes, but subtle ones: when you eat, how you start your morning, or how you wind down at night.
This is where life starts to feel less grindy and a lot more steady.
Herbs (Dravya)
Ayurvedic herbs aren’t the same as supplements (which — did you know — are largely unregulated) or quick-fix medications that simply mask symptoms and send you on your way.
When herbs are used, they’re chosen carefully to support digestion, calm inflammation, ease stress, or strengthen depleted systems — always in context, always in relationship to the whole person.
Think of them as helpers — not magic bullets — working alongside food and daily habits to nudge the body back toward balance.
Intentional. Supportive.
Hi, I’m Penny Dullaghan
I’m an Ayurvedic counselor, award-winning illustrator, and long-time student of how the body and creativity are connected.
I came to Ayurveda through my own experience of pushing, overworking, and ignoring my body’s signals — until they became impossible to ignore. Learning to listen changed not only how I felt physically, but how I worked, created, and lived day to day.
Today, I work with people who are thoughtful, capable, and often very good at pushing through — and who sense that their body is asking for something different. My role isn’t to tell you what to do, but to help you notice patterns, understand what’s going on, and make changes that feel supportive and sustainable.
This work is informed by my formal training in Ayurveda and my lived experience as a creative person navigating real life.
I believe feeling better doesn’t come from doing more — it comes from listening more closely.
My approach
Here’s what it’s like to work with me
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and realistic. I don’t believe in rigid rules or one-size-fits-all protocols. And I will not offer suggestions that feel like giant leaps. Instead, we look at what’s happening in your body, your life, and your current season — then work together to make small, steady shifts that feel supportive and doable. The work is practical, personal, and designed to fit real life.
I quite honestly can’t put into words how amazing the shift has been. I’m knocking it out of the park on how I’m structuring my meals and feel that my creativity is flowing on another level. I’ve felt so much more energy since I’ve committed to the changes. My sweet cravings and snacking have also pretty much disappeared…….!!!
This honestly feels like magic!

1:1 AYURVEDA CONSULTATIONS
Work with Me
Working together begins with a one-on-one consultation where we take the time to understand what’s really going on in your body and in your life. We look at digestion, energy, sleep, stress, and daily rhythms — as well as the context you’re living in right now.
From there, I offer individualized guidance grounded in Ayurveda, tailored to your constitution, symptoms, and capacity. This may include simple food adjustments, supportive daily routines, and, when appropriate, herbal support. Nothing is suggested blindly, and nothing is meant to overhaul your life.
This work unfolds gradually. We focus on small, steady shifts that build over time, checking in and adjusting as your body responds. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s steadiness, clarity, and a sense that things are moving in the right direction.
Most people work with me over a series of sessions, allowing space to observe patterns, integrate changes, and deepen understanding. My role is to listen carefully, offer clear guidance, and support you in building practices that feel sustainable in real life.
If you’re curious about what your body has been asking for — and want support that’s thoughtful, grounded, and personal — I’d love to work together.

(90-minute initial session + 50-minute follow-up)
This two-session package offers space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface — and time to integrate changes with support.
We’ll begin with a 90-minute Ayurvedic consultation to look at how digestion, sleep, energy, mood, stress, and daily rhythms are interacting in your body. We’ll explore the patterns that may be quietly affecting your clarity and creative flow, even if you haven’t connected those dots before.
Within 48 hours of our first session, you’ll receive a personalized recommendations sheet with simple, supportive practices to begin right away. These may include nourishment guidance, daily rhythm adjustments, self-care practices, and herbal support (when appropriate).
A few weeks later, we’ll meet again for a 50-minute follow-up session. This is a chance to reflect on what you’ve noticed, refine what’s working, and adjust what isn’t. Ayurveda is a gradual practice, and this second session helps support steadiness as changes take root.
Sessions can be held virtually, or we can arrange for an in-person meeting in Indianapolis — whichever works best for you.
This package is ideal if you want time to try things out, return with questions, and continue the conversation with guidance and care.
After booking, I’ll send over a short agreement and intake form to get us started.
-
Step 1: Before We Meet
Once you book your consultation, I’ll send you an in-depth intake form. This helps me understand your current health, energy, digestion, and daily rhythms before we meet, so our time together can be focused and meaningful.
Step 2: Your Initial Consultation
We’ll meet virtually if you’re farther away, or in person in Indianapolis if you’re local.
During our session, we’ll talk through what’s been going on in your body and your life — including how your health and creativity may be influencing one another. I’ll listen carefully and begin to understand what’s happening from an Ayurvedic perspective.
Based on what you share, I’ll design a personalized plan to support your well-being and creative flow. We’ll focus only on what feels doable within your current life. You’ll leave the session with a few simple, clear next steps — not a long to-do list.
Step 3: Your Personalized Plan
Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a customized suggestions sheet outlining the most supportive practices to begin moving the needle. This may include guidance around food, daily rhythms, self-care practices, or herbs — always tailored to you.
Step 4: Follow-Up Support (Optional, but Recommended)
If you choose to continue, we’ll meet again about five weeks later for a 45–60 minute follow-up session. This gives you time to try things out, notice changes, and gather questions.
Ayurveda is a gradual practice. These sessions allow us to check in, refine what’s working, and adjust what isn’t — all in conversation with how your body is responding.
Ongoing Support
If you’d like continued support, we can schedule follow-up sessions every 5–10 weeks until you feel steady in your health and rhythms again.
And if questions come up in between, I’m always just an email away.

Q: I’ve never heard of Ayurveda—what is it, exactly?
A: That’s almost everyone 🙂 — and it’s no problem at all. (And if you’ve Googled it, you’re probably more confused.)
You don’t need any prior knowledge to work with me. I’ll introduce everything in a clear, simple, down-to-earth way. We don’t even have to use “Ayurveda language” if that feels more comfortable.
In a tiny nutshell: Ayurveda is a time-tested system of wellness that helps you understand your body’s unique needs. Think of it like learning your body’s user manual — so you can feel more steady, energized, and clear in daily life.
Q: I’m not sure if I’m “creative enough” for this. Is it still for me?
A: Absolutely. Creativity doesn’t just mean being a professional artist — it’s part of being human.
You might be a writer, designer, entrepreneur, parent, problem-solver, or simply someone who likes to make things. However creativity shows up in your life, this work can support it.
Q: I’m not sick—just a little off. Is this still for me?
Absolutely. You don’t have to (and really shouldn’t) wait for a breakdown or major diagnosis to seek support.
Ayurveda is especially helpful for catching imbalances early — so “little” things like low energy, foggy focus, poor sleep, or irritability don’t quietly snowball. This work is for anyone wanting more ease and steadiness in their body and daily life.
Q: Is this going to mean a total lifestyle overhaul?
Valid concern. But nope.
We’ll focus on small, doable shifts that fit into your real life. No strict routines, no dramatic changes, no pressure to be perfect. Just step-by-step support, guided by what actually feels sustainable for you.
Q: Will I have to change what I eat?
A: Maaaaybe… but definitely not in a “no chocolate ever again” kind of way.
This isn’t about strict or strange diets. You don’t need to become vegetarian or cut out everything you love (gasp!). That said, food does affect how we feel, and we’ll tune into what your body is asking for.
For example, I once worked with a client dealing with intense irritability — hot flashes, red face, yelling, the whole thing. We realized spicy food and alcohol were making everything worse. We slowly dialed those back, and she felt much better.
Q: How does this actually connect to my creativity?
A: Creativity starts in the body.
When you’re tired, foggy, off-rhythm, bloated, or just not feeling well, it’s much harder to access inspiration — right? But when your body feels supported and your mind is clear, creative thinking comes more easily.
Ayurveda helps clear the path.
Q: I’ve tried other things and nothing sticks. How is this different?
A: That’s very common — and it’s usually not a willpower issue.
Ayurveda isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it doesn’t separate the body from the rest of you. We look at physical symptoms alongside mental load, emotional patterns, daily habits, and the season of life you’re in — then build a plan that fits your real life.
We move in small, doable steps, adjusting as we go, so changes feel supportive rather than forced — and have a much better chance of sticking.

A Note about Creativity
At Creative Ayurveda, I believe everyone is creative. (Yes — even you.) Creativity isn’t a special talent reserved for artists; it’s part of being human. It simply shows up differently for each of us.
Maybe it’s how you solve problems, sing in the shower, care for others, or think through an idea. Maybe it’s the way you dress, the meals you make, or the thoughtful notes you send to friends. However it appears, it’s yours. It’s an expression of how you move through the world.
The forms of creativity, as we know, are endless. That’s its magic.
And I’ve seen, again and again, that when the body feels nourished, steady, and supported, creativity flows more freely. That’s why I do this work: to help you feel better in your body, so your natural creativity has room to breathe.
